While technology races on at great speed, knowing what your needs are can reduce buyer dissatisfaction.   But, more importantly, focussing on your needs can help you to avoid the buying trap.   Needs, needs, needs. |
Advertisements continually bombard readers of technology magazines with promises of better performance and with excited announcements of new technologies.   But not all new technologies are created equal, and because of the tendency of manufacturers to stress only good points about their product, it is really buyer beware (caveat emptor) when buying a computer. |
Buyer's are advised not to buy based on advertising alone.   Try to be goal-oriented when considering technology purchases, and consider ways in which results can be achieved without expensive equipment.   Don't forget the bottom line, but buying a major, established brand may help ensure compatibility.
