Bookmarks, or favourites, allow browsers to store website addresses in a convenient set of folders, so that one can later return to visit these sites.

Protect your bookmarks by copying to a safe location (like a floppy disk) the file or folder in which they are contained.   These may be in a file called 'bookmark.htm', or in a directory called 'favorite'.

Occasionally your bookmark file may get damaged or lost and you will need a backup copy.   Also, remember that website addresses change from time to time, so you will want to keep these current.
