Revelation 12
-2And I saw in great wonderment a sign in the heavens: it was a woman arrayed with the sun, the moon beneath her feet-- and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2And she was pregnant, crying out because of the pangs of childbirth, and in agony to give birth.

-4And I saw a different sign in the heavens and look! a great fiery-red dragon having seven heads and ten horns-- and upon its heads seven royal diadems. 4Its tail dragged a third of the stars of the heavens and threw them to the earth, and the dragon continued in the face of the woman who was about to give birth, so that as soon as she gave birth it might devour the child.

This son was born with authority to rule all the nations with an iron rod, and so God whisked the child away to himself and to his throne.

The woman then fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, to be fed for a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

-8But war broke out in heaven as Michael the archangel and his angels battled with the dragon-- the dragon and its angels fought 8but did not prevail, and there was no room for them anymore in heaven.

So down the huge snake was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, this one who misleads the entire inhabited earth was hurled down, and its angels were hurled down with it.

And a large voice was heard in heaven saying: Now have been seen the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and of his anointed one, as is cast down the accuser of our brothers who night and day accuses them before our God.

But they won victory over him through the blood of the Lamb and through their words' witness and they loved not their lives even as far as death.

Be glad then, you heavens, and all of those residing therein-- woe for the earth and for the sea, for the Devil has come down to you breathing hard and knowing he possesses but a short period of time.

When the dragon knew that it had been hurled down to the earth, it persecuted that woman who had given birth to a son.

But there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly to the wilderness to her place where she may be nourished for a time and times and half a time away from the face of the serpent.

Then spewed the dragon from its mouth after the woman a flood of water to flush her away.

But the earth came to the woman's aid by opening its mouth and swallowing up the flood which the dragon had flashed out of its mouth.

The wrath of the dragon blazed at the woman, and he turned aside to fight with the remaining ones of her seed, those who keep the true commandments of God and who have the testimony of Jesus.
